Hello friends, We're at the start of a new month yet again! As August begins, life starts to ramp up for many of us. Where I live, kids are heading back to school already. Growing up in NYC, we never went back until after Labor Day, so this still catches me off guard (even after ten years in Texas!). As your schedule fills, I hope you'll make room for deeper reflection, unhurried conversation, and rhythms that help you stay rooted in Christ. Here are a few ways to do so this month. 🌱 Sacred Pause This Week Sacred Pause is our monthly online mini-retreat, a chance to step away from the noise of everyday life to breathe, be still, and pause in God's presence. There's no cost to attend and no need to be on camera. There won't be a traditional Sacred Pause in September, so I hope you'll join us this Friday, August 7 at 12PM CT. Register here. 📚 Reading for the Soul This quarter we're reading The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry by John Mark Comer, and our next gathering is Tuesday, August 11. It's not too late to join the community. Come as you are, read at your own pace, and bring whatever God is stirring in you to our monthly discussion. We'd love for you to join the conversation. 📝 For the Rest of the Journey Earlier this year, I began writing on Substack as a quiet experiment. It's become a place to explore stories and spiritual formation in ways these monthly updates don't always allow. If you enjoy longer reflections and slower conversations, come subscribe and read along. I'd be grateful to connect with you there. 🌿 Partnering Together I'm thankful for everyone who walks alongside this work, whether through prayer, participation, or provision. Your generosity helps me keep offering Sacred Pause freely, so cost is never a barrier to anyone who wants to join a retreat. If you'd like to support the work financially, you're welcome to give here. I'd love to hear from you. Please feel free to reply and let me know what's on your heart this season, what you're reading, or how I can be praying for you. Have a wonderful August! With grace + gratitude, |
