📚 Something New

In 2020, while we were all in lockdown, I read The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry by John Mark Comer three times. The first two times were meaningful and sparked great thought. The third time, reading slowly through it in community, was the one that actually changed something in me. That experience planted a seed that continues to grow.

A lot has unfolded since then. I finished a doctorate, became a spiritual director, and have had the joy of creating spaces for people to be with Jesus through cohorts, retreats, and an online community. And through all of it, I've developed an increasing conviction that some of the deepest transformation happens when we go slowly, together.

With that in mind, I wanted you to be among the first to know that I'm launching a brand new reading community.

Reading for the Soul is a seasonal community where we gather around one carefully chosen book and move through it slowly, together. Each season is designed to support genuine spiritual formation, rooted in a deepening life with Christ.

Members will receive weekly reading guides, reflection prompts, and curated resources, along with ongoing community conversation that is part of the formation process. Once a month, we will gather live to notice what God is stirring in you as a result of your reading.

Our first season begins Monday, July 6, and it's only fitting that it begins with The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry.

The goal isn't to check the reading off your list. It's to pay attention to how the reading is forming you and shaping your relationship with Jesus. Read with us throughout the quarter or at your own pace. Either way, you'll have a community to engage with around these themes.

As a thank you for being on this journey with me, I'd love to invite you to become a founding member of Reading for the Soul. Founding membership is $49 and includes lifetime access to every future season. This special rate is available through June 30 only. Doors officially open July 1.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions, and share this with a friend if someone comes to mind.

I'd love to have you with us.

With grace + gratitude,
Jenn
